be a champion

BE A CHAMPION

Be so fast that when you turn out the lights your in the rack before the room gets dark.

Be so strong that the boogie man sleeps with the light on because he is afraid of you.

Be so bad that you make medicine sick.

Take the moment.

If Life knocks you down get back up.

This is a BLACK BELT SCHOOL

We strive for BLACK BELT EXCELLENCE

WE ARE ON A QUEST TO BE OUR BEST

NO EXCUSES!!!!

TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!

DON’T GOSSIP.

WORK HARD.

Friday is testing.  Be ready.  Know your requirements.

This is Sensei Wright, I’m here to help you reach the goal of Black Belt.  I’m not perfect, me and my staff make mistakes, we forget things, we don’t always get it right.  We fall, we fail, we get hurt……WE KEEP GOING.  That is what makes us the best.  I recently received my Black Belt from Professor Jerry Reoder.  It was over an eight year process.  I’m 43 years old.  People said I could not make a living doing martial arts.  I didn’t quit. The point is I keep going.  My intent is pure.  I want the best for my family, my staff, my students, and myself.  We offer the highest quality of martial arts in the Onslow County and surrounding areas.  We have trained national champions, 40 Black Belts, 23 Cage Fighting Belt holders, improved confidence in hundreds of children.  We have a great program and it is continuously getting better.  I encourage you to take advantage of everything we offer.  It will make you great.  You will get out of it what you put into it.  Don’t complain, don’t be part of a problem be the solution, don’t make excuses, strive for Black Belt.

Most people that start in the martial arts quit within the first 100 days.  Don’t be average.  Be great.  Make the commitment to Black Belt.

On Friday you will witness students that will get double and triple promoted.  Why??  Because they put the time in and worked hard and deserve it.  Celebrate with them, honor them.  If you put in the time and work hard it can happen to you!

GET YOUR BLACK BELT.

TESTING FOR 2ND DEGREE BLACK BELT in Kempo Karate

If there is ever a problem with training let us know and solve it don’t quit, don’t give up.  Be a black belt.

graduation karate students

Hello students,

This month’s theme was COURAGE. As martial artists we attempt difficult things that we know will help us grow, we use courage not to follow the crowd and we use our courage to inspire others to do the same.

The following children’s story can help us relate to the courage it takes every time we face a new challenge in our martial arts training and in life.

A young prince had never seen a real dragon before, but he had heard of dragons and knew of their great strength and of the hot fire they could breathe out of their nostrils. One day he went for an early ride on his favorite horse. He was galloping down the path into the woods and as he turned a corner, he found himself face to face with a dragon. He could have turned his horse and ran, and maybe he could have escaped, but the dragon was heading for the town and would surely hurt or kill the people. With his heart beating fast with fright, the prince drew his sword and charged straight at the dragon. The dragon was so stunned by the prince’s courageous charge that it turned and ran away. The dragon was gone and the kingdom was saved.

As you continue your martial arts training you will face the dragon many times. The dragon isn’t a fire breathing serpent but rather FEAR and DOUBT that can set in as you graduate from one belt to the next, knowing that you will be facing a new set of challenges that may seem to extend beyond your abilities.

June 24th is graduation day. During the event you are going to see an awesome display of the various programs we teach at Wright’s which include Karate, MMA, BJJ, Combat Fitness and our amazingly fun demo team program. If you haven’t had the opportunity or COURAGE to try one of these programs we are going to give you an opportunity to do so on Friday June 24th. We will have a special schedule that day with each class available for you to try. Then, if you decide you would like to start training in one of these programs we will award you your new uniform at graduation along with your new rank!

We are enclosing a coupon for $100 off the Master’s Club program that you can use on Friday June 24th if you decide you would like to add any new program of study to your existing program.

Congratulations in advance on your upcoming promotion. I look forward to seeing you take the next step toward black belt excellence.

Master Instructor Sensei Wright

Graduation will be at the Family Karate Center.

If it is not time for your belt graduation feel free to come and support those that are graduating to their next belt and see the Demo Team perform.

If you want to accelerate your martial art skills and earn accelerated promotions you have the opportunity the rest of this week and next in our summer camp. We have students that are getting double and triple promoted because they have been training 4 to 8 hours a day all this week in the summer camp.
